Just got with it! If it feels right to you, if no one is in danger, if they are healthy and well taken care of, then you got this!
Parenting is definitely not for the weak. And not everyone can do it. But as I mentioned before, there is no guide. What works for you may not work for me. I for one do not indulge in telling others how to raise their children because I am far from perfect. What I can tell you is to prepare yourself for the unexpected, the laughs and the cries lol
See for me it's a roller coaster ride. When I started this blog I only had one little gremlin. Now there's 3! Don't ask me how that happened, it just did.
So where does my time go when I'm not at work? Well that's easy, changing diapers, trying to potty train, making warm meals, cleaning the dishes after every meal, cleaning up messes and trying not to yell too loud so the neighbors won't complain. See my children are the special kind. All the toys they do not play with need to be all over the place so they can see them. Cleaning up their toys during the day is like shoveling in a snow storm. You put away what they don't use and they take it out anyway. So I find myself tripping over blocks and dolls all day. I've learned to let them do their thing and eventually they will tire themselves out.
Everyone who knows me, knows the story. My neighbors must know all my kids names because all they hear is JOHAN!, CELINE!, VICTORIA! I try not to yell as much but there's no avoiding that in my case. There's never a dull moment in my apartment. My son is tranquil while my 3 year old finds a new adventure and tags along her 2 year old sister who copies every single thing she does. The thought of having a smooth relaxing day is totally obsolete. There's nothing safe from those two at my place. They're either on top of something or under something with sharp edges. Kids will be kids and they will be curious.
NOPE, nothing is baby proof here but don't worry, they are fine. lol Having occasional first aid kit around has helped tremendously and kept us out of the emergency rooms.
