As a parent you sit and wonder how you can make it all happen. Nurturing children, maintaining a household and working a full time job. It often feels like being a magician, juggling all the life obstacles by handling one affair after the other.
Yes, no shit, it is hard!
For a parent like me, prioritizing my children is most important and the rest is what I juggle. There's no real order on how other things in life are placed especially because Work is something essential to get the bills paid and to keep a roof over your head. Unfortunately, my magician powers aren't that great to make certain things disappear. However, taking things day by day always works.
Doing it all alone would be extremely hard. Having a good support system is the best magic trick of them all. Sometimes sacrificing going to bed late to have a night cap or to spend some quality time together is extremely essential.
It's all a balance! Don't be hard on yourself because there is no manual. For me, I've learned as I go. My first born welcomed me to parenthood. My second child taught me some patience. And my last child taught me how to cope. I'm still learning everyday on how to be a better parent. Whether it is through their milestones, through their adventures or tantrums.
