Gentle Parenting?!?

How do you do it?

Is it something you'd consider?

I don't know if I've practiced this long enough to say that it works but to each's own. I mean I try it but my patience runs thin.

How do you remain calm when youre toddlers literally act like Donnie from The Wild Thornberries. Those born before the year 2000 know who I'm referring to.

Sometimes I have to yell or grab the belt. I do this with all the love in my heart lol. What I mean is, we try very much to not go down that route. But when the kids decide to team up against us, thats when we have to assess the situation and regulate.

The fact of the matter is that gentle parenting is something my partner and I often talk about and try to incorporate in our daily routine. We take it day by day and try to have as much patience as possible. We help each other and protect each other's sanity by stepping in when the other is struggling to keep calm.

Running around while we try to have dinner and making a mess while I try to clean up is part of my every day life at home. My girls 2 and 3 love to test my patience and are always doing things they are not suppose to. Kore than likely if you do not hear them and they are not in sight, they are are most definitely up to no good.

So if you ask me, gentle parenting depends on the day, your mood, and the stage of hyperness or attitude your child might have. Theres days where gentle parenting works and others where it doesn't.

Thats just my theory!
